Sonia Kashuk Cream Bronzer

Hello!

I am on the hunt for a bronzer I can contour with and I rarely see a cream bronzer that is matte, so when I saw the Sonia Kashuk Undetectable Cream Bronzer in Warm Tan I was excited.

You can get Sonia Kashuk products at Target and this bronzer is only $10.99 - so very affordable.  It is described as: "This luxe, creamy bronzer delivers a subtly luminous finish for the most naturally sunkissed skin you’ve ever seen. The innovative cream-to-powder formula melts into skin and delivers a buildable dose of natural translucent color, while minimizing imperfections using soft focus technology. Infused wtih antioxidants and Vitamin E, the anti-aging formula will perfect over time, while protecting the skin with SPF 20. The weightless cream glides easily over the skin, making the formula ideal to enhance and sculpt both the face and body for a lit-from-within glow." 

When I saw it had SPF 20 - I was even more intrigued.  Matte, cream and SPF??  Yes please!

So you can see the "swatch" looks dark, but it blended out really nice, and it definitely doesn't look orange.  I continue to be really impressed by Sonia's products compared to what they used to be about 2-3 years ago.

Pixi Beauty Bronzer in Subtly Suntouched - Review

Today I wanted share a bronzer I found that might actually be very suitable for fair skinned beauties!  I very rarely see bronzers that I even want to try because they look waaaaaay too bronze, or I know they will pull orange as I don't really have much of a warm undertone.  But I saw this Pixi Brozer at Target in Subtly Suntouched and I was like "ooooohhhh".

The package comes with a little kabuki brush and it retails at Target or Target.com for $21.  It looks much more shimmery in the pictures than I feel like it appears in" real life".  The reason it caught my eye is because it runs less orange bronze, and more soft taupe bronze with a hint of pink (if that makes any sense).

The kabuki brush to me is really too small for practical use - I ended up using a regular blush brush. 

As you can see it looks "believable" in the swatch - I feel like this would be the color I would tan (if I could!).  There is shimmer to it but it is not overwhelming, and I think that's the point of faux bronzing it needs a bit of shimmer.

Here I am with just tinted moisturizer on, no powder.

And with the Bronzer - yeah so soft and pretty!  I really like it, and am so glad I finally found a natural bronzer with a bit of shimmer!

Hard Candy's Glow Away - can go away

Today I tried Hard Candy's Glow Away dual ended bronzer and highlighter stick.  Described by Hard Candy's website as: "Duo bronzer and marble swirl highlighter stick delivers an instant bronze glow on one side and shimmering highlights on the other. In a stick format for easy mess-free application, the soft formula glides on smooth for all day glow and shimmer. Lightweight, creamy formula blends effortlessly to provide a gorgeous vacation glow! 3 bronze shades – Maui, Tahiti, Bora Bora and 1 marbelized Highlighter."  I got it for $6 at Wal-mart it's also available Here.

I got the "lightest" shade - Maui

 

Immediately upon opening the package both ends fell out as seen below:

So for a whole lot of packaging you get about 3/4 an inch of product on each end.

So I mashed the product back into the tube as carefully as I could so it would still roll up or down.  And then I "swatched"it on my face putting the bronze on my lower cheekbone and the highlighter on top.

As you can see even though it is the lightest bronze shade it is quite dark and a bit orange on me

Then I blended it in and it looked a bit more natural.

Overall, I know this product only cost $6 but unless you are a medium skin tone and really like dewy looking highlights, I don't know if you would enjoy this product.

Physcian's Formula Ph Matchmaker Bronzer...turned me Snooki

Today I tried Physician's Formula Ph Matchmaker Bronzer which supposedly matches you in 60 seconds.   From my understanding of how Ph matching cosmetics work it will get darker as your skin gets more acidic, something I found to be very true.  Hot day, I started to sweat and suddenly I went from slightly bronze to orange.

It's a pretty hefty compact, with room for a small brush in the bottom and it also has small LED lights on each side of the mirror you can turn on and off.

I got it at Target for $14.95 for .46oz.  Judging by the size of this compact you would think you were getting a lot more product.  It's more sparkly than the bronzers I traditionally use, but that's good because I usually only use a bronzer to contour.  So this can work as a blush ( as long as I don't sweat and change my Ph - definitely a winter product).

As you can see after the initial 60 seconds it gave me a bit of color but as I mentioned if you Ph changes to much the color keeps intensifying - not so good.  I guess I could do with less gimmicks and just products made with safe and quality ingredients.
