Today I wanted to share an organizing tip I came across on Pinterest (you can follow me, my button is right over there to the right :) Right under my Facebook link... I have an awesome board called Bad A$$ Beauty) Anywhoo... my point is that The Beauty Department, showed this idea below for organizing and identifying your polishes:

So I wanted to get started right away but I didn't have any of those little white stickers around the house, but I did have some holiday label stickers laying around that somehow don't "match" my giant wrapping paper collection, but they sure would work for polish stickers:

So I painted a strip of polish, then I cut them out in strips to stick on polish bottles - the thing they didn't account for in the Beauty Dept version is the fact that a lot of brands have a raised emblem on the top - look at your OPI, China Glaze & old essie bottle had an "e" so a little circle punch wouldn't stick. By cutting a strip I can make sure it will stay where I want it! Here is a picture of the first box full of "tagged" polishes.
My Orly polishes aren't tagged because they are my primer, bottom coat, top coat etc... I haven't decided how I am going to organize the lot of them - so I started an Excel spreadsheet to see what exactly I have. I'm noticing A LOT of pink already, but I also found some gems I forgot about and some items I need to throw away! All in all I think this is a great idea and great busy work while I'm catching up on "Revenge".
Do you have any great organizing tips?
Jasmine
