Five Minutes to Fabulous - Video

Hello!

Usually on Friday's I link up for book club.  But I am stuck in the middle of a slightly boring book and so I have no book to report on!  Instead I have something I think you will like even better - a video!  This is a SUPER easy way to throw on shadow, eyeliner and mascara and look like you put in a lot more effort.
Enjoy!
In fact it's so easy I will let you in on a little secret - I have really bad vision, but wanted to test to see if this was easy enough you hadn't done it before could do it. So I did it in one take without my contacts in - I couldn't even see where I was putting the eyeliner! You can kind of tell because I keep poking myselif in the eye to hard with the brush, and sniffling because my eyes are filled with eyeshadow. So if I can do it half blind, anyone can do it!  And over at Small Budget Beauty she tried it today after watching the video, and I'll say it was a major success!

Have a wonderful weekend all!

ohh la la lips - twin edition

Hello!

Today I coerced a fellow bold lip lover to do a dual review of Wet n' Wild's Purty Persimmon with me!  So you can read my thoughts and Christine's over at Little Red Bow.  So you don't have to take just my word for it that red is wonderful!

This color is from their MegaLast collection which they describe as "This 4-hour, long wearing lip color leaves a semi-matte, crème finish in one stroke. Glides on easily with rich, velvety color that doesn't cake, feather, or bleed. Made with hydrating skin-care ingredients: Hyaluronic Microspheres provide extraordinary adhesion to lips, an exclusive polymer complex offers cushion-like feel and texture, and natural marine plant extracts Coenzyme Q10 and Vitamins A & E help smooth lips. "

I usually have a hard time finding these in the stores, and at $1.99 I'm not surprised they sell out. You can usually find the full collection at Beauty.com. There are a couple of draw backs- it is not a creamy as some lipsticks and requires a more careful application.  It also leaves behind a bit of a stain (which I don't mind, but some might).

I would agree that it is a semi-matte finish after the initial glossiness wears down.  It's not a true red color but more of an orange red, so warm skin tones would wear this really well.

So here are my oh la la lips in Purty Persimmon:

And a side view because I was feeling sassy!

So have you tried Wet n"Wild Mega Last and what do you think?

Gettin Ferga-licious with Fergi Ferg Fresh from Wet n' Wild

Hello:

Today I was at Walgreens, and I came across 3 color collections by Fergie for Wet n' Wild.  There was the Glamour Eyes Kit (Golds and Black), the Ferga-Vicious Kit (Copper and Green) and the Fergi Ferg Fresh which I got:
Only $8 score!

I have a lot of the colors (ok, all) in the other kits but this one reminded me of the SugarPill palette on the cheap!
So it comes with directions on the one side of the book and the a black pencil liner, liquid liner in a bright blue, Four eye shadows, 2 absolute crap brushes and Mascara.

The Mascara is the Mega Length version, I've never used a Wet n' Wild Mascara but the brush head has the kind of bristles I like.
The Eyeshadow palette says "Color Icon" on it so I was hoping for the infamous amazing color payoff at a great price

And here are the products swatches:

The blue seems to have the best color payoff, the darker purple was a bit chalky, and sadly the black doesn't appear as "sparkly" or multi faceted when swatched. But the liners are good in color payoff and texture.  I wish the would have replaced the brushes with a gloss.  Is this palette a must get?  No.  But the container is sturdy and there is room under the "case" where the products are held to throw in some other small items, so this is great for travel, or for a girl's weekend for sure.

What are you thoughts?
