Tarina Tarantino Haul

Hello,

A few weeks back Hautelook had Tarina Tarantino - and I had to splurge a bit.  I only discovered Tarina's cosmetics right at the tail end of them being sold at Sephora and I only got the DollSkin Cheek collection (AH-MAZING).  So I got a little more of everything.

First is one of the infamous Hyperliners in Ultraviolet

The color isn't exactly what I would call "Ultraviolet" to me it's more dark plum - but the formula is definitely Ultra!  And it was only $6.50!

It is sooo creamy - I don't like the pencil style (it is one of those weird plastic pencils) but their claim that it is waterproof more than makes up for it.  I don't usually do my waterline, nut it lasted a few hours and all day on the other areas of my eye - I really need to get my hands on more!

Then there's the jewelry box filled with wonders - only $32!  Score! You can still buy it on Tarina Tarantino.com for $50.

Primer, lip gloss, mascara & 16 gorgeous shadows!  Love!  So with the blushes I already have and the eyeliner I got I pretty much have everything I need for a full look!

Plus the cosmetics tray lifts out and there is more storage in the bottom - lovely and useful!

The Pearl Glow Primer is wonderful (especially for pale ladies like me!)

It also is a great primer and intensifies the color of the already gorgeous shadows - which are soooo smooth.

I swatched one of the champagne colored shadows on top and then under it over the primer - oh la la :)

The Gem Gloss is "Jewelry for your lips! This lipgloss is formulated to make your lips shine while moisturizing and plumping your pout! These amazing high shine glosses also come in a peach sorbet flavor!"

Alone it is just a nice punch of raspberry colored shimmer - but over a red lip pencil, sparkle glossy, drama!

So I think I got a great deal on some great products - keep your eye out for more sales on Hautelook!

What's the best beauty bargain you've ever got?

Korean Skincare Haul

Hello,

I mentioned last week that a lovely friend of mine brought me back some skincare and cosmetic items from South Korea when she went a few weeks ago. Here is the Haul!

Ohhh la la Some full face sheet  masks and 10 eye patch masks!  I reviewed the eye patches Here!  The green masks is one of the infamous snail serum masks!

And then...

Masks from Shara Shara, more snail! And Mung Bean and Collagen and the one I am most excited about Hyaluronic Acid (this helps you retain moisture so it will be awesome in a couple months).

Missha BB Cream!!  Yea haw!  I have wanted this for so long!  Plus some awesome fun samples :)  Can you tell how excited I am for all this stuff - I squeeee every time I look at it!

And finally a too cool for school eye shadow - it's buttery soft and blends really well.  The color is navy with a turquoise sparkle - perfect for smoky night eyes.

And that's it!  The only scary part is I can't read the directions...but a mask is a mask right?!?!  Let's hope!

What's your favorite foreign beauty product!

Sonia Kashuk LE Moroccan

Hello:

Today I wanted to share a pretty summer eye palette I found the other day - it's the Limited Edition Moroccan Sands eye palette by Sonia Kashuk.  It's available at Target for $16.99.

It has four colors - here's the official description from the Target website: "Gild your lids with luminous color using this quad of shimmer chrome-inspired eye shadows. This universally flattering palette includes precious metal hues of burnished brown, metallic mauve, prismatic pink, and rose gold to illuminate the eyes with sophisticated color and subtle sheen. The revolutionary hybrid formula combines the best features of baked, powder, cream, and liquid eye shadow textures to deliver long-lasting, buildable color that applies evenly and blends flawlessly."

The only "unblemished" picture I got was of it in package - I got swatch happy before official pictures :)

The palette itself is rather large and it's about 3/4" thick.  I love the snake skin embossed effect!  The colors are really pretty on multiple skin tones - My friend who is about the shade of Halle Berry swatched as well and it looked amazing on her as well.

The shadows are really pigmented and smooooth. They are pretty "common" colors so it's not a must have palette, but if you need some summer neutral metallics it's a pretty good deal for some really nice shadows.

Have you found any fun summer palettes?

New to me! Detrivore Cosmetics

Hello!

Earlier this month I ordered some loose mineral eyeshadows from Detrivore Cosmetics.

From their website: "Detrivore Cosmetics is a small independent makeup company, owned and run by Distorria Mordred. We specialize in handmade loose makeup. Our products are not repackaged mica blends or made by a private label company. I make loose eyeshadow because I prefer it. The colors are more vivid and I like the variety of colors available. I like the buildable coverage and generally the feel of loose eyeshadow and foundation. It's a personal preference, not a moral or ethical choice. I also like supporting other indie bath and beauty sellers."

I had seen swatches and makeup looks of Detrivore Cosmetics on Prettymaking.com and I really wanted to give it a try. And then I saw they were having a 35% off sale so  went for it!

First thing first I got their eye primer so I could be sure to get the best results -

It looks yellow but goes on absolutely clear, it's solid and reminds me of hard lip balm
but you warm it up with your finger and it goes on smooth and soft.
From their website: "Eyeshadow primer from Detrivore Cosmetics is a wax based primer designed to help adhere loose eye shadows. Just a tiny amount can help keep your shadow on all day. It is also somewhat water resistant, although not water proof."  I will definitely be using this with my other loose shadows.

I picked out six shadows and they are A-mazing!

Top L to R Ossuary & Adipocere
Bottom L to R  Incantation & Shroud

Top L to R Filth & Scar
And then they sent me two samples Acid Test & Hack

I swatched them over the primer and they are 10x more beautiful in person:
L to R  Ossuary, Flith, Scar, Incantation Shroud & Adipocere

They blend like a dream and such a little amount goes a long way!

The samples Acid Test and Hack
Not colors I would have chosen on my own so it will be great to try them!
I am so pleased with my new shadows - I definitely recommend you check out their site!
