Hello:
Today I wanted to show you a foundation I recently tried. I had seen a review of it on The Amazing World of J. It looked like a great winter foundation.
Here's the description from the CoverGirl website "COVERGIRL & Olay combine foundation and hydrating serum to cover fine lines and wrinkles and helps hydrate to improve skin tone over time." I got the lightest color 105 Ivory, and I was worried that it would lean to pink but as you can see below it's pretty neutral.
So here I am before, freshly washed face with anti-freckle serum and moisturizing sunscreen.
And here I am with one pump of the foundation blended in by brush. As you can see it does even out my complexion and it helps hide my freckles. I really like the medium coverage it gives. It also looks very natural up close. It runs about $13.99 and can be found at pretty much any drugstore, Target, Walmart etc...
So I also realized I don't often show how I look after I put on my foundation so here I am after I put on a little blush (Miliani Coralista), Mascara (Maybelline Great Lash BIG), brown eyeliner, my eyebrows on, and some taupe eyeshadow.
Natural is my go to look normally, but tomorrow I am going try to get some good pictures of some of my bold looks. I never show pictures of myself with my full face on because I can't get a good picture - but I'm going to work on that!

I may need to try this foundation, since it says it has hydrating serum. Every foundation I have tried makes my skin look super dry along my cheek bones:( been sticking with CG tinted moisturizer.
ReplyDeleteHave you ever tried using a serum before moisturizing? There's alot of them out there at various prices and the help you skin "plump" and retain moisture. My skin has looked a lot better since I incorporated serums and I rarely get dry spots anymore :)
DeleteNo, I've not tried serums before. I'll have to check in to that. Is there one from the drug store that you would recommend?
DeleteMy suggestion would be the L'oreal Youth Code Serum Intense (I swear it's Lancome Genefique) You need very little and it brightens your skin and helps it retain moisture - I know you can get it for under $20 when it's on sale or if you can find a coupon.
DeleteThanks for the info :) I went searching through my sample drawer and found 2 packets of Youth Code, gonna give that a try and see if it helps.
DeleteThis looks pretty good!
ReplyDeleteI have a different CG product on my wishlist though, I saw a commercial for CC cream (the newest hype product) and I must try it asap!
I have seen the infamous CC cream in some articles online, but didn't know Covergirl would have one. Ahhh marketing sceams, and packaging they alwasys get me :)
