Inner Beauty Friday

Hello!

It's time for Inner Beauty Friday and usually I link up for Book Club, but I haven't finished my book yet sooo... I thought I'd share some of my reflections on Inner Beauty.

As I grew out of my selfish teenage years and into the learning curve that was my 20's, I have arrived at my mid 30's both matured and a bit selfish.  I don't have kids, I don't have a husband - I don't have much responsibility.  And the picture above always makes me think.... I want to be able to look straight at that "mirror" should it cross my path one day.  So here are some of my inwardly beautiful traits that I have definitely worked on - I think it's good to acknowledge your own kindness and good traits!  "Because if you can't love your self, how the...." (if you know the end of this quote 10 points!).

1) I am really polite and even if people are really rude to me I don't snap back.

2) I am very thoughtful and try to make people I am close to feel special.

3) I am the friend that will help you move, build your IKEA furniture, and take you out when you are down.

4) I try very hard to make sure I am always radiating positivity - I WILL find the silver lining.

So what are some of your beautiful traits?  It's hard to express them but lets do it!  GO - tell me what's great about you!

  1. I try to be kind to people and treat others how I'd like to be treated. And I have a smartass sense of humor and will always find a way to make people laugh!

That picture is a good reminder. Need to go Pin it now :)

    1. I love a fellow smartass! I thought the picture and quote were a really good point, I would be soooo scared it look into the mirror but I'd do it!

  2. I'm super honest (when appropriate!) and will always help to stop a stranger. I come across as cold and serious if people don't know me well but I think deep down I am a nice and caring person.

    1. That is so nice that you stop to help people - too many people just walk by. And I know you are a nice person!

  3. I have a really positive attitude and outlook on life. Even if I am feeling miserable, I always try and think of positive things which are happening around me :)

  4. Aww thanks for the reminder, I often forget to look at my good side. I seem to always focus on the bad side, lol, probably cause those are the ones that need more work. I'm a very generous and unselfish person. If anyone ask me something that required time, money, advice, or a favor, I've never said no unless it's beyond what I am able to give or produce. Unfortunately, in some cases this has also caused me some heartaches in the past but I've come to learn who I can and cannot trust. I'm wise and down-to-earth. I may not be the smartest person but I have more common sense than the average person. I've experienced so much at a young age that I feel I have an old soul.

    1. Being down to earth and street smart are VERY good qualities! And even if you gave more than you got back - YOU are the better person and no one can change that! :)

    2. Thank you Jasmine. The only thing I really want back is to feel appreciated and that what I did was worth something for that person. I get sentimental and deeply hurt when people are not appreciative or look down on me, especially if I went out of my ways to help them.
